Dreams of Riley’s Friends: A note to the ‘Computer Simulation’ audience

We’ve disabled subscriptions at this point because the story is underway – and we’re not able to do late subscription for this one. Thanks for your interest!

Hey there.

Just wanted to reach out to say thanks again for being part of ‘Computer Simulation of the Ocean’ last year. And thanks especially for your support and suggestions.

A lot of you wanted us to try an interactive story – and we’ve got one ready to go. We’d love for you to check it out. It’s definitely another experiment and we’ll ask for your feedback again at the end.

If you’re interested, use the form below to subscribe. As before just send ‘unsubscribe’ at any point if you’re not feeling it.

One last note: Most of you also wanted us to try something shorter, so this one lasts just six weeks.

Thanks again!

xo

Dreams of Riley’s Friends is a six-week encounter with a stranger from out of town. The decisions you make about this new-found friend, steer a story that occurs entirely by text messages on your mobile phone. No set, no lights, no venue to go to.

Will you invite Riley to tomorrow’s parade? Will you keep dreaming of the house that is slowly filling up with milk? Will you change the way you feel about the metal lever in your mind?

Dreams is an interactive, slow-motion story that unfolds over six weeks. Sometimes we’ll send several texts in a day. Sometimes none for a week. Where the story takes you – and the Riley you get to know – depend on the choices you make.

From Kirk Lynn, Steve Moore, Zack Booth Simpson, and the team that brought you last year’s Computer Simulation of the Ocean.
